HIKES IN THE COTTIAN ALPS

The Cottian Alps are a mountain range in the south-western part of the Alps. They form the border between France and Italy (Oronaye, Aiguille de Chambeyron, Mongioia, Aiguillette). The Maddalena Pass separates them from the Maritime Alps; Col du Mont Cenis separates them from the Graian Alps.
The main valleys of the Cottian Alps are: Grana, Maira, Varaita, Po, Pellice, Chisone and Susa.
The chief peak of the Cottian Alps is Monviso (3.841). |
